About Indivisible Outreach

If you are like many members of Indivisible Outreach, you may have never participated in protest activity before. But you have decided that the time we live in doesn't allow for sitting things out, either hoping things get better on their own, or that others will do the work. So here we are.

Indivisible is a nationwide grassroots movement of thousands of local chapters with a mission to elect responsive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda.

The Indivisible Outreach (IO) chapter is based in the Rochester, New York area. It is allied with other nearby Indivisible chapters, but has its own unique mission and methods.

In addition to sharing the aims of the national organization, IO aims to be nimble - ready to take non-violent, effective action responsibly but quickly. We have an active network of volunteers who are ready to take our message to the streets, as well as engaging in messaging such as media campaigns, letter-writing, phone calls, and so forth.

We know that each member brings a unique set of skills. We work to let each person contribute in whatever way they can. Whether you can take to the streets, or help with promotion, planning, or communication, if you care about preserving our democracy, there's a place for you in Indivisible Outreach.

We often work with other groups in the area, to share ideas, best practices, and resources for maximum impact. For a list, see our sister site, rocnyprotest.com.
